I should also note that I ran the "compact and repair database" tool and I am still getting the same error message. Fred Maybe there's a corrupted record somewhere in the table. Also, Me.Dirty = False does not generate an error if the record is not Dirty. The original mdb database used an internal linkage (an autoid number in one table linked to the same number defauted in a second table). Do you have any field names that use "reserved" words? I can import/copy the table using Access 2003 without error but not while using Access 2007.
